The food at Ham Yard Bar is all about mixing, matching and sharing. Made up of small plates, melts and sliders, guests can choose from a selection of dishes including chorizo sausage rolls with rapeseed mayonnaise; barbequed octopus with pickled white cabbage; roast squash, labneh and gremolata, and pork belly with butter beans, onion soubise and salsa verde. Melts are all served on Ham Yard’s house-made rosemary focaccia with fillings such as hot salt beef with mustard mayo and glazed smoked ham and Fontina with truffled mascarpone. Sliders, served in brioche buns, include falafel with raita, harissa crème fraiche, and chicken with avocado, baby gem and chipotle mayonnaise. A selection of ice cream sandwiches is also available.
The cocktail menu is broken down into signature and sparkling cocktails, and tailor-made martinis using gin or vodka. Many of the ingredients are homemade including syrups, bitters and tonic. Expect to find thyme fat-washed tequila in the Black Margarita and homemade tonic in the Ham Yard Tonic concocted with Portobello Road gin, Campari, St Germain and grapefruit bitters.
