Join SJ for a special workshop in our light-filled Orangery, where you will create your own interior portrait inspired by a selection of Firmdale Hotels’ beautifully designed spaces. Suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced painters, this intimate session offers the opportunity to explore the art of painting interiors while developing your own creative style.

SJ will guide you through the techniques behind creating a captivating interior portrait, from mixing and layering colour to creating beautiful washes, interpreting patterns, and capturing the details and personality that bring a room to life. With her expert guidance, you will learn how to translate the atmosphere of an interior onto paper and leave with a unique watercolor artwork of your own to take home.
 
Returning painters will discover new scenes to inspire them, with fresh details, techniques, and textures to uncover. There will also be the opportunity to work from still life botanicals inspired by SJ’s new book Seasonal Living.
