Join us at The Soho Hotel for an evening with Costume Designer Sammy Sheldon Differ, who will be in conversation with writer and curator Keith Lodwick.

Part of our Fashion & Cinema series, Sammy will be discussing her career, which spans a wide array of genres and periods, including several Marvel films as well as Kenneth Brannagh's A Haunting in Venice and the upcoming Kraven the Hunter, by J. C. Chandor.

After the talk, head upstairs to The Soho Hotel's lively bar and restaurant, Refuel for dinner or a drink. Featuring a varied menu of British classics alongside more modern seasonal dishes, it's the perfect spot for a post-talk catch-up with friends.

Launched in 2012, Fashion & Cinema is a series of events created and produced by Tristana Media including film screenings, on-stage conversations and talks exploring the relationship between fashion and cinema as well as the work of costume designers.


About Sammy Sheldon Differ

Sammy fell in love with film at an early age, watching westerns, Hammer Horror movies and, most influentially, the original Star Wars. She has received BAFTA Film nominations for her work on Morten Tyldum’s The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley and Michael Radford’s The Merchant of Venice, starring Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons.

She’s also received a BAFTA TV nomination for the BBC’s modern adaptation of The Canterbury Tales: The Wife of Bath as well as Costume Designers Guild Awards nominations for The Imitation Game and Ex Machina, X-Men: First Class and V for Vendetta.

Sammy has turned her hand to an array of different genres, from period and fantasy to war and superhero movies. Her more recent film credits include Assassin’s Creed, by Justin Kurzel, Marvel’s Ant-Man, Annihilation, Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, Artemis Fowl and Marvel’s Eternals, Quantumani, A Haunting in Venice and the yet to be released Kraven the Hunter.
