Join us this September for a very special Art Walk at Charlotte Street Hotel, guided by Willow Kemp, Firmdale Hotels’ Art Ambassador and Design Director. Discover the hotel’s unique private art collection, much of which was created by members of The Bloomsbury Group, the influential circle of early 20th-century artists and writers who gathered just a few streets away in the townhouses of Bloomsbury. 

Collected and curated by Kit Kemp, you'll find original works by the group’s key players including Duncan Grant, Vanessa Bell and Roger Fry, as well as lesser-known but no less important members such as Alfred Wolmark and Nina Hamnett. Throughout the intimate tour, Willow will share the fascinating stories behind her favourite pieces and offer insight into both collecting and living with art.           

Following the tour of the hotel’s collection, you’ll head out into Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury to visit a number of local galleries, handpicked by Willow, before returning to the hotel for our Bloomsbury Group Afternoon Tea. 

Inspired by the tastes and habits of the group, as captured in handwritten notes, sketches, letters, and journals, the tea is a playful tribute to the art that adorns the walls of the hotel and the creative spirit that characterises the local neighbourhood.

Tickets are £160 per person and include a welcome drink on arrival and Afternoon Tea at Oscar Bar & Restaurant.
