- Sold out -
Experience Ham Yard Hotel's first craft workshop weekend. In this one-of-a-kind two day workshop, delve into the world and work of two inspiring makers, Natasha Hulse and Melissa White. Both Natasha and Melissa are highly respected artists that Kit has personally commissioned for past projects and collaborations.
The weekend will begin with a personal welcome from Kit Kemp on arrival, who will lead a guided art tour, giving an insight into her collection, as well as her inspiration behind the design of Ham Yard Hotel.
Following this, you will be invited into the inspiring surroundings of the Windmill Room to learn how to create a floral applique masterpiece. A master of bespoke appliqué design, Natasha will teach you how to use fabrics, paints and applique to create your own three dimensional floral design, ready to be framed the next day.
On day two, Melissa's workshop will show you examples of her work and other painted frames for inspiration. She will then guide guests on applying the base coat and demonstrate how to add texture to paint. Under Melissa's expert tutelage, learn to create patterns with brushstrokes and transfer designs onto the frame.
After the two-day course, you will return home with your own framed masterpiece.
Students will break for a delicious lunch on the first day and will experience Ham Yard Restaurant’s award-winning Afternoon Tea on day two.
Guests including an overnight stay in their ticket will have the evening at their leisure to enjoy the full facilities of the hotel, including the exclusive Roof Terrace, Soholistic Spa, Croc Bowling Alley and more.
Class size is limited to 14 to ensure focused tuition.

Natasha Hulse is a bespoke fabric artist, specialising in handcrafted fabrics for interior design and bespoke furniture. Her love for surface design, colourful patterns and nature is integral to her designs and can be seen in every element of her work. Her work combines the traditional techniques of art and applique, into unique three-dimensional designs. Each piece of furniture and fabric showcases a botanical design that is hand painted and appliqued together in the UK into a botanical scene and then upholstered into a unique item of furniture. Natasha has also been privileged to work with many interior design household names, private individuals and has showcased her work at prestigious events, such as Chelsea Flower Show and Belgravia In Bloom.
