Join best-selling author Georgina Moore and award-winning author, screenwriter and podcast host Kate Sawyer in conversation with journalist and author Kate Maxwell at Charlotte Street Hotel. They will discuss the process of writing a novel and getting published as well as exploring the themes of family, friendship and relationships found in each of their books.

Georgina Moore published her Sunday Times best-selling debut novel The Garnett Girls in 2023, which will be available to purchase in paperback in April. She brings a wealth of knowledge with her, having also spent many years as a publicist to a diverse portfolio of authors.

‘Moore finds wry humour in her protagonists’ dilemmas, conjures a beguiling sense of place, and wrings emotional depth out of the women’s fractious relationships with each other’ - The Times

Kate Sawyer initially worked as an actor and theatre and events producer, before writing short films and then turning her hand to fiction. Her award-winning debut novel The Stranding was adapted for radio and is currently being developed for TV. Her second novel This Family was published in 2023.

'A terrific debut. Brave, unexpected... transfixing and captivating... full of hope, resilience and love' - The Sunday Times

Learn from their varied experiences within the industry and take the opportunity to get advice for your own queries as part of the audience Q&A after the conversation, which will be followed by a book signing.

Add a reservation at Oscar Restaurant to your ticket purchase and enjoy a two-course dinner and a glass of wine following the event.
