Fridays with Dida
On Friday nights, we welcome Brooklyn-based jazz guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Dida Pelled to Warren Street Bar & Restaurant. Known for her warm vocals, soulful guitar playing and captivating stage presence, Dida effortlessly blends blues and original compositions, bringing her distinctive sound to the New York jazz scene.
Dida has performed at some of New York's most celebrated jazz venues, including Smalls, Dizzy's Club and City Winery, Dida has toured internationally and appeared at renowned festivals including the Ottawa, Atlanta and Red Sea Jazz Festivals. Her debut album, Dida Plays and Sings, featured jazz greats Roy Hargrove and Gregory Hutchinson and was named one of All About Jazz's albums of the year.

The Sam Taylor Trio
Hailed by All About Jazz as "wise beyond his years" and "remarkable" by Toronto Music Report, saxophonist Sam Taylor lives and performs in New York City. A Philadelphia native, Taylor is a recording artist on Cellar Live. Along The Way, Taylor’s sophomore release, took his group on a five concert tour of the Pacific Northwest and Canada in January of 2020.
Past performance highlights include leading his quintet for two nights at The TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival 2018; performing at jazz legend James Moody's 80th Birthday Celebration; touring Europe as a guest soloist with The Noord-Nederlands Conservatorium Symphonic Jazz & Orchestra. Taylor is a recipient of New York Foundation for the Arts; City Artist Corps Grant 2021, and a recipient of a New Artist grant from The Netherland America Foundation.
