In her Stockinged Feet is a series of feet in darned socks, the occupants of the feet are out of the frame. The socks are in various states of being frayed and mended, they are worn out.

“These pieces are domestic and homely, a place of comfort for me; with my two young children at home. They are vulnerable too; I felt vulnerable as a new mother and I also felt bored and anonymous. All of that is in these pictures of socks. I poured my heart and all that meaning into these pictures of socks. I cried over at points over these pictures of socks. Isn’t that funny?
