12 - 1:30pm - Painting workshop with art materials and refreshments provided

The collection at The Whitby Hotel includes Stephen Cox RA’s alabaster plinths, Hermione Skye’s vast rainbow-hued loom woven above the reception and the shadowy figure of 'Father Time', redrawing the clock hands on Maarten Baas’s Real Time: Grandfather Clock. Witty and entertaining artworks fill the adjoining Whitby Bar from Ramiro Fernandez Saus’s tale of dogs and birds overlooking the sea to paintings by Carla Kranendonk, Nicola Clarke and framed collections of ‘Haircuts of Hackney’ illustrations by Daniel Frost. Descend to the hotel’s private event spaces where a stairwell lined with Kate Blee’s joyous Tribe print and artworks by pop-art icons Joe Tilson and Jim Dine set the scene.
