Richmond Buildings is our latest new build project in the center of Soho, just off Dean Street, right next door to The Soho Hotel. It's actually a very fresh, light looking building. Richmond Buildings has been created for a tenant that's looking for much more than just a place to work. This is a building with great style and excitement that makes coming to the office a joy. Let's take a walk through the building. There's the ground floor, which has that bright, wonderful, active entrance. Then the apartments on the first floor. On the second, third and fourth floor are the beautiful, expansive workspaces that can be used in many different ways. And then suddenly you arrive at the top, which is a fabulous event space. It's good for a party, it's good as a workspace, and I love its flexibility. The building is full of surprises. Here on the ground floor, we have the lobby area and it's a jolt. It's a jolt of orange and blue, and immediately it takes away any Monday morning feeling. You just feel alive and ready to go. As you open the doors, in front of you is an installation of a wonderful chandelier which looks like a new moon, but very solid, very strong, and beneath it there's a table which has a very sculpted shape to it. And behind it, that very Yves Klein blue wall with a huge flower upon it. And then there are two long refectory tables where you can sit and work, but at the front, there's a much more relaxed seating area. There's a cafe on the left, there are little silver top tables where you can sit and eat, and it's a lovely meeting space just as you enter the door. There's an elevator to all floors, but if you wish to walk, it's a colourful experience with the melon orange and that bright emerald green, it's a fun space. On the first floor are two apartments, both self-contained, both very light. The apartments on the first floor have their own private entrance in Richmond Mews, so it's discrete and extremely comfortable. The second, third and fourth floors are work spaces. These are expansive spaces with coved ceilings beautifully lit, floor to ceiling windows, and you can use your imagination on how these spaces will be used. On the top floor where we are now, you can see I'm standing in the center of the most wonderful entertainment space. The wall covering is inspired by the British artist, Sandra Blow, who is actually one of my favourite artists. And this is one of her geometric designs, which has then been transferred onto a grass cloth. And beside it, playing with scale and balance is one of her smaller designs. And then we've concealed a complete bar, you can actually cook there and yet, as soon as you've finished, you can hide it all away. There's a beautifully made long table that you can sit eight or 12 people around. There's actually two very large comfortable sofas and a seating area within this space. And I love the fact that it has a wraparound balcony that goes around two sides, and that area outside with a little tinkling fountain, it's a really expansive space. It's very contemporary, but at the same time, has that effortless comfort. I wanted to create that design thread that works through every floor, and I think we've managed to achieve that. 9-11 Richmond Building stands on its own and is quite unique in Soho.
