An Evening In Provence with Château La Coste

  • The Roof Terrace at Ham Yard Hotel
  • Thursday 15th August, 7pm - 10:30pm
  • £150 per person including appetisers and a four course menu with wine pairings, plus olive oil to take home

Be whisked away to the South of France this August for a one-off Provence themed dinner on the roof terrace at Ham Yard Hotel, hosted with our friends at Château La Coste.

Château La Coste, lying North of Aix-en-Provence, is famous for its iconic range of wines. Dating from the 17th Century, the estate encompasses 200 hectares of unspoiled nature in the heart of a magnificent amphitheatre of vines, olive trees and lavender. At this exclusive dinner savour a selection of their most revered wines, alongside dishes cooked right in front of you.

Start the evening with:

  • A chilled glass of rosé served from Jeroboams while enjoying a selection of appetisers including Rock oysters with lemon, chilli and oregano, shucked ‘à la minute’.
  • Flatbreads with caramelised onions, anchovies and black olives, a take on the classic Provençal dish Pissaladière, grilled in our wood fried pizza oven.

Then take a seat and begin the feast with:

  • A selection of Summer crudités with fried courgette flowers, anchovies and tapenade as Daniel Story, Director for Château La Coste, introduces you to their organic vineyard and the first wine pairing.
  • Followed by Chargrilled red mullet with octopus, monkfish and red prawns, served Bouillabaisse-style with rouille and croutons, before the chefs bring out the Herbes de Provence marinated Salt Marsh lamb with grilled merguez, stewed peppers and saffron potatoes.

End by:

  • Refreshing your palate with a homemade Olive oil ice cream, using Château La Coste’s very own new season olive oil, before finishing with a Tarte au citron with crème fraîche.
