Join us at Covent Garden Hotel for a Winemaker Dinner celebrating the wines of Salcheto. Established in 1984 situated in the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Salcheto is named after the stream which flows through their vineyards. Their focus is Sangiovese based wines, made using Prugnolo Gentile, a clonal form of Sangiovese unique to this area of Tuscany.
Owner Michele Manelli is an innovator of energy efficient wine-making, leading Salcheto to be the first estate in Italy to be fully self sustainable. At the forefront of this movement, they were voted Best For The World 2018 Honouree and are one of the first to receive the newly established Equalitas Certification. These wines are made with minimal intervention and fermented using only indigenous yeasts.
Michele Manelli will host the evening in the stunning surroundings of the Lyric and Fortune Rooms. The evening will begin with a glass of wine with canapés before a three-course autumnal dinner, featuring seasonal ingredients such as truffles, alongside a hand-picked selection of Salcheto wine pairings
The Winemaker Dinner is £65 per person including canapés and three-course dinner with wine pairings.
Guests are invited to arrive for drinks and canapes at 7pm before dinner at 7.30pm.
