ABOUT WHAT RED WAS
When Kate Quaile is absorbed into the gilded world of the Rippon family, through her friendship with youngest son Max and his influential mother Zara, her horizons seem to open boundlessly. But at a summer party at their house in London, she becomes the victim of a rape whose perpetrator is too close for her to name. What Red Was is about the consequences of this attack on Kate and all around her, about trauma and silence, about how we inhabit our bodies and our minds, and about what we notice and what we choose to hear.

Rosie Price grew up in Gloucestershire and then read English at Cambridge. She worked for three years as an assistant at a literary agency before leaving to focus on her own writing. She lives in London.
