the chef's table - GLORIOUS GROUSE
the potting shed at dorset square HOTEL
friday 16 AUGUST 2019 AT 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start
Celebrate The Glorious Twelfth and the start of the British grouse season on Friday 16th August in the charming surroundings of The Potting Shed at Marylebone's Dorset Square Hotel. Found on the heather moorlands of northern England and Scotland, grouse is a wild, native bird which has a rich game taste with a distinctive red colour.
The evening will begin with a glass of Chapel Down's Bacchus sparkling wine, alongside a selection of seasonal canapés before a three-course dinner in the restaurant, created by Firmdale Hotels' Executive Head Chef, Robin Read and The Potting Shed's Head Chef, Donatas Drukteinis. The menu includes a whole roast new season grouse with seasonal heritage carrots, fennel and mashed potato, game chips and pancetta.
£50 per person to include a glass of Chapel Down and canapés reception in the bar and a three-course dinner with expert wine pairings.
