To celebrate the arrival of Downton Abbey: The Exhibition in New York, The Whitby Bar has launched a special Afternoon Tea. Filled with quintessentially British sweets and savouries that The Crawley family would love, tuck into dishes such as smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches, as well as seasonal fruit tarts and blackberry and pear bread pudding. No traditional British Afternoon Tea would be complete without the addition of delicious scones, clotted cream and preserves, which guests can enjoy alongside a selection of loose leaf teas to round off the experience.

Guests can then visit Downton Abbey: The Exhibition just a few minutes’ walk from The Whitby Hotel. Based on the beloved television show, be transported to post-Edwardian England, where the characters and the iconic house come to life. Immerse yourself in the fascinating social history, culture, and some of the most memorable moments, including the costumes and sets from the show’s six-season run, including Mrs. Patmore's kitchen and the servants’ quarters.
