Outdoor Dining in London

Enjoy outdoor dining all year round. Whether it’s a long lunch, an indulgent afternoon tea, or a fine bottle of wine amongst friends, we have the perfect spots for alfresco occasions.

The Garden at Number Sixteen

Nestled away on Sumner Place in West London, is Number Sixteen with its peaceful garden. An extension of The Orangery restaurant, decorated by Kit Kemp and featuring handpicked works of art, the garden is graced with mulberry trees, blooming hydrangeas, a koi pond and a wooden pagoda. Here, both in house and external guests can enjoy breakfast, a classic afternoon tea, or seasonal dishes from the à la carte menu.

The Dish: Lobster and avocado cocktail or Shaved courgette and fennel salad with broad beans, lemon and mint
The Drink: A glass of sparkling wine - Rathfinny Classic Cuvée, 2018

The Terrace at Oscar Bar & Restaurant

Known for its lively atmosphere that spills out onto Charlotte Street, Oscar brings a touch of Paris café culture to Fitzrovia. Every Friday this summer from 6pm-10pm, there’ll be live sets from an exciting roster of local London DJs. Cocktail in hand, enjoy the sunshine and prime people watching on this buzzy street.

The Dish: Dorset crab croquettes, pea mayonnaise or Roast scallops, pancetta, slow cooked peas and curry leaves
The Drink: Jarabe Tapatio – Vivir Blanco tequila, Campari, orange marmalade, lime, soda water

The Courtyard at Ham Yard Hotel

Tucked behind Piccadilly Circus, the courtyard at Ham Yard is an oasis in the heart of Soho. Illuminated by sparkling lights within the impressive oak trees and flickering candlelight on the tables, enjoy a long lunch, afternoon tea, or a fine bottle of wine. From mid June, guests can also tuck into fresh oysters from their new al fresco oyster cart ‘Shucks’, accompanied by zingy dressings.

The Dish: Potato gnocchi with ricotta, courgettes and their flowers
The Drink: Ham Yard Tonic – Portobello Road gin, Campari, Chase elderflower liqueur, grapefruit bitters, homemade tonic water
