[Willow Kemp] The hotels give us an opportunity to showcase different artists.

[Kit Kemp] Yes, from around the world and this work is by Carla Kranendonk, who is a Dutch artist working in Holland. I found this work in Stephanie Hopkins gallery, and I love the way that she celebrates this gorgeous woman, but not only that she's embellished this piece of work, she's brought in so many beautiful details about Senegal. There's almost a history to it.

[Willow Kemp] What's so clever about this piece is the layering. She embellishes the painting with bead work with stitch work around here. And she really understands textiles and patterns and the repeat.

[Kit Kemp] And of course we love textiles. So anything to do with fabric and joyful colour.

[Willow Kemp] This is definitely the example of more, is more.

[Kit Kemp] I can recognise her work immediately, wherever we see it. And in fact, there are only two pieces of work in this room and the other is the Sandra Blow.
