[Kit Kemp] Here we are in the bowling alley at the Ham Yard Hotel. You know, you don't have to always do anything but create your own art. We've created our own collection here and made it into an artwork. We'd always liked bowling shoes, and they really are quite decorative. We collected 36 pairs of bowling shoes on eBay. And I remember talking to one of my design team and she said it was her first job, stuffing bowling shoes with newspaper. So you'll find there's newspaper at the front of every one of these. We then surrounded it with bowling balls. And this is the reception area where you actually can get your shoes and play bowling. I think we're finishing on a high note and this high note is in the bowling alley at Ham Yard. This is called, As Time Goes By which are two very large, what are they Willow? [Willow Kemp] Prints, but then Howard Hodgkin worked into them. He was in fact 90 years old when he completed this piece and he painted on top of the print. [Kit Kemp] I went to Howard Hodgkin's studio, which was actually opposite the British Museum. So saw these two artworks actually on his wall, in his studio. And it's like the summer and winter of his life. In fact, I think this was his largest artwork. [Willow Kemp] Yeah, it's so physical. [Kit Kemp] It is so physical, the whole point. [Willow Kemp] It's quite remarkable. And he worked into the prints with painting and splattering paint, and it's got such energy and movement and it's perfect here in a bowling alley. [Kit Kemp] When do you ever go into a bowling alley and see amazing art? When we were asked to create a bowling alley, it was such a difficult thing to do, but it actually gave us that fabulous space and opportunity to add art. And I think even if you miss every single pin when you're trying to bowl, at least you can turn around and look at an amazing piece of art.
