  • KIT KEMP FOR FINE CELL WORK

Kit Kemp, Design Director and co-owner of Firmdale Hotels, and the late Melissa Wyndham, a top interior designer, have collaborated with Blithfield Fabrics to create a special collection for British social enterprise Fine Cell Work.

This first upholstered furniture collection for Fine Cell Work features embroidered lampshades and cushions, top of the range headboards, footstools, contemporary trays and embroidered mirrors.

Fine Cell Work is a charity and social enterprise, founded by Lady Anne Tree in 1997, which trains prisoners in paid, skilled, creative needlework. The charity aims to enable prisoners to develop new skills, earn money and acquire the self-belief to stop offending. The work is of a superb quality as prisoners are taught by skilled volunteers, including members of the Embroiderers and Quilters Guild.
