ITALIAN FUTURISM, 1909-1944: RECONSTRUCTING THE UNIVERSE

This is the first comprehensive overview of Italian Futurism to be presented in the United States. Presenting over 350 works executed between 1909 and 1944, this epic exhibition examines the historical sweep of the movement from its inception with F. T. Marinetti's Futurist manifesto through to its demise at the end of World War II. Nearly 80 artists, architects, designers, photographers and writers are represented, including Benedetta Cappa, and Giacomo Balla.

Curated by Grammy Museum executive director Bob Santelli, this exhibition traces the history of Beatlemania, from the band's first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964, to their final official concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park in 1966.There are over four hundred items on show including original photography, tickets and publictiy materials, many of which have been sourced from fans' private collections, as well as video footage of The Beatles and their contemporaries.
